So what exactly is Auriculotherapy?
Auriculotherapy, or more commonly, auricular therapy is the stimulation of the external ear for the diagnosis and treatment of health conditions in other parts of your body.
The ear is considered a micro system of the entire body.
In general the therapy refers to ear acupuncture or auricular acupuncture; However, this is specifically when stimulation is
achieved by the insertion of acupuncture needles.
Auriculotherapy is often achieved with electrical stimulation or probing
of the surface of ear reflex points. Specific points on the ear stimulated by manual pressure are generally referred to as auricular acupressure or ear reflexology. Acupuncture points on the ear can also be stimulated with lasers, magnets, and ear pellets.
The last two of course being the safest and least traumatic
for the patient
